WE ARE THE DECK

Inspired by a passion for extreme hospitality, unique dining & family vacations, owners Fred Scharmer & Michelle Harris envisioned Muskegon’s only beach restaurant at Pere Marquette Park. Though The Deck originally started as a small BBQ restaurant back in 2014 the owners kept dreaming of something more, of what The Deck could potentially be! Their vision opened the doors to two major renovations over the years; adding a space for live music, more seating & family fun in the sand, which has now helped thousands of tourists and locals alike flock to what we all know and love as The Deck!

Our team takes pride in not only creating an environment for all ages to appreciate, but also creating an extensive culinary menu for anyone to enjoy! Dine with us and relish in delicious BBQ, tacos, tasty salads & so much more – something for everyone. And if it’s not the mouthwatering food aroma that pulls you off the beach, then get ready to quench your thirst, on a hot summer day, with an array of frozen beverages while overlooking the gorgeous shores of Lake Michigan!
